The beauty of baking together
The Cookie Project is a community-driven initiative dedicated to sharing the joy of baking with schools, organisations, and individuals who can benefit from hands-on, confidence-building experiences. It all started when Sian was invited to run a cookie workshop at Cambridge Park Academy, and from that moment, something special was born.
Each workshop is designed to be fun, inclusive and accessible to all, helping participants develop practical skills, boost their confidence, and enjoy the magic of baking. The Choowee Cookie Co pan bring everything needed - ingredients, equipment, and plenty of enthusiasm - all the team needs in an oven and some workspace!
Over the past two years, Sian and the team have had the privilege of working with incredible students, witnessing firsthand how baking fosters independence, creativity and teamwork. A big welcome and thank you to the new sponsors of The Cookie Project, Relo! With the backing of Relo, we now have funding to refresh and expand the equipment used during The Cookie Project workshops. While Choowee will continue to supply all the ingredients and deliver the sessions, Relo’s support will enable the purchase of dedicated, brand-new equipment, including mixing bowls, spatulas, measuring scales, oven gloves, baking trays, cooling racks, and more. The sponsorship will also provide branded aprons and disposable chefs' hats, transport-safe ingredient containers, a branded trolley for moving equipment, and printed recipe cards so that everyone who experiences a workshop has the best time.
